Industrial decarbonization advisory

Getting projects financed and built.

Global Vantage Point is a global consulting firm working across the capital stack, from the development banks and donors who de-risk the early stage to the private developers who deliver. We scope the pathway that actually banks for the context, then help structure it to close.

One project, seen from every seat at the table.

Most advisors sit on one side of the deal. We move up and down the capital stack so the pathway holds together from concept to close.

01

Concept and scoping

Techno-economic analysis and the pathway that actually banks for the context.

Feasibility
02

Early-stage de-risking

Structuring grants, concessional capital and donor support to make the numbers work.

MDBs & donors
03

Structuring to close

Financial advisory, due diligence and the deal architecture that gets to signature.

Financiers
04

Delivery

Handing a bankable, well-structured project to the developers who build and operate it.

Private developers

Clean molecules, gases and the transition in between.

We focus where the hard engineering meets project finance: the fuels, feedstocks and efficiency measures that decarbonize heavy industry.

Clean hydrogen and derivatives

Green hydrogen, ammonia, methanol and PtX, from auction design to bankable offtake.

Natural gas as a transition fuel

LNG, CNG and cogeneration structured as a credible bridge, not a stranded asset.

Biomethane and RNG

Biogas upgrading, waste feedstocks and book-and-claim pathways to market.

Waste-to-energy and efficiency

Recovering value from waste streams and industrial heat, and cutting methane at source.

Advisory

Advice you can bank, not a report you shelve.

Every engagement is scoped against the question that decides the deal. It runs from a focused two-week diagnostic to a full development mandate, always sized to move the project, never to fill a binder.

Four advisory pillars, one continuous pathway. Most clients enter at one pillar; the value compounds when the same team carries the work through the next.

01 · Scope

Define the decision, the constraints and what success looks like.

Scoping note and workplan · weeks 1 to 2

02 · Diagnose

Analysis, modelling and due diligence against the real context.

Analysis pack and financial model · weeks 2 to 8

03 · Structure

Shape the pathway, the commercial architecture and the risk allocation.

Structure memo and term sheet · weeks 6 to 16

04 · Mobilize

Position for capital and hand a bankable package to the next seat at the table.

Bankable information package · ongoing mandate

Strategy, development, structuring and commercialization, carried by one team. A feasibility study written by the team that will later structure the offtake leaves fewer gaps for a lender to find.

Latin America

One relationship, a full portfolio of proven technology.

Our consulting work spans Latin America, MENA, Africa, Central Asia and Southeast Asia, but our equipment representation practice is dedicated exclusively to Latin America. We act as the regional arm of international technology manufacturers: we hold their representation and agency mandates, open the market for them and carry each technology to the plants and projects that need it.

The portfolio covers complementary technology lines: industrial and process water treatment, anaerobic solutions and biogas; LNG, CNG and virtual pipelines; cogeneration, heat recovery and gas-to-power; and waste sorting, recycling and waste-to-energy. Because the lines complement each other, one conversation can solve several problems at the same plant.

If you build the equipment, we open the market. If you build the project, we bring the technology.

Leadership

Two operators who have sat on every side of the deal.

Rafael V. Monroy

Rafael V. Monroy

Chief Executive Officer, Co-founder

Rafael leads Global Vantage Point with nearly two decades in clean energy and industrial decarbonization, spanning clean hydrogen and derivatives, methane abatement, biomethane, waste-to-energy, carbon finance and natural gas. He has originated and structured landmark transactions across Latin America, MENA, Africa, Central Asia and Southeast Asia, and has worked hand in hand with the major development banks, including the ADB, AfDB, EBRD and World Bank.

Before founding Global Vantage Point, Rafael was a Senior Manager at Tetra Tech and, earlier, founder of MBE CleanTech, where he spent eleven years originating clean molecule and gas projects from concept to close. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and is completing an MSc in Engineering Business Management at the University of Bath. He works in English, Spanish and French.

Alejandro Marcos

Alejandro Marcos

Chief Operating Officer, Co-founder

Alejandro brings twelve years as a project developer and technology representative, closing the gap between proven clean energy technology and the projects that need it. His career spans distributed solar and clean molecule development, giving him a rare command of both the engineering and the commercial mechanics of getting projects built.

He previously worked alongside Rafael at MBE CleanTech and held roles at SolarCity, where he helped scale solar deployment, and across a range of developer and OEM representation mandates. As COO, Alejandro runs delivery and leads the firm's equipment representation practice across Latin American markets.

SAF projects move when the value chain is in place.

Vietnam secured feedstock. China connected fuel to a cargo hub. Latin America combined biogas, full offtake and IFC advice. The common thread is not new chemistry, but the commercial chain built around it.
